Warmer Homes, Brighter Futures: Emily’s Story
When Lincolnshire Housing Partnership (LHP) launched its ambitious ECO4 energy efficiency program, Emily was one of the first customers to sign up. As a long-time LHP customer, Emily was eager to take advantage of the upgrades that would make her home warmer, greener, and more affordable to run.
“I was really excited about the prospect of getting solar panels installed,” Emily recalls. “Anything that could help reduce my energy bills was going to make a big difference.”
The installation process began smoothly, with the LHP team conducting measurements and providing a detailed quote. However, Emily soon encountered an unexpected hurdle – issues with the funding approval through her energy provider.
“There were a few hiccups along the way, mainly around the need for additional documentation to confirm the panels were actually installed on my property,” Emily explains.
“But the LHP staff were incredible. They really went above and beyond to support me through the process and make sure everything got resolved.”
“They couldn’t have done more for me,” she says. “Any time I had a question or needed help, the LHP team was right there to support me. They were so informative and responsive – I really felt like they had my best interests at heart.”
Now that the solar panels are finally installed and operational, Emily is eagerly anticipating the impact on her energy bills. LHP estimates the upgrades could save her between 15-20% on her electricity costs, with even higher savings during the summer months.
“It’s going to make a huge difference for me,” Emily enthuses. “Having that extra bit of money each month is going to give me so much more financial freedom. I’ll be able to pay off debts faster and have a bit more flexibility in my budget.”
Emily’s experience is a testament to LHP’s commitment to delivering warm, energy-efficient homes for its customers. Through the ECO4 scheme and its own ambitious sustainability targets, the housing association is transforming lives and creating a greener future for the Lincolnshire community.
“I’m just so grateful to LHP for everything they’ve done,” Emily says. “They’ve been with me every step of the way, and I know my home is going to be better for it. It’s been a long process, but completely worth it in the end.”
