Making Home-Ownership Dreams a Reality
First-time buyers get set – more empty properties at up to 35% off the market value are being released by Lincolnshire Housing Partnership.
Homes from as little as £18,200* are being offered through our popular Doer-Upper scheme.
Successfully launched last year, Doer-Uppers provide an affordable home ownership opportunity and innovative empty property refurbishment programme enabling local residents to purchase their own home while ‘doing it up’.
Located in Grimsby, the homes vary in specification from needing redecoration and upgrading to more comprehensive work.
Since its launch the scheme has proved popular with local people grabbing the chance to get a foot on the property ladder without needing a huge deposit or falling foul of rising property prices.
LHP home ownership manager Sarah Smaller said: “This scheme is proving popular with our customers and it is great to be able to offer a different route in to home ownership.”
The Doer-Upper scheme is open to anyone who lives or works in North East Lincolnshire, who doesn’t own a property already and meets other eligibility criteria.
The scheme is designed for owner-occupiers not property investors, developers or landlords and priority is given to existing LHP customers.
In addition, several homes in the West Marsh are also being offered for sale on the open market and may be an ideal investment opportunity.
The sales do not affect any occupied property and therefore no existing tenant or leaseholder.
The properties will be released on Friday 22 June 2018. More information is available here
