Milestone reached on refurbishment investment programme
An Immingham home has become the 1500th to be revamped as part of a £6m annual investment in the area.
Louise Spalding, who has lived in her terraced property on Blair Walk for 13 years, has had her kitchen completely transformed thanks to our partnership with EQUANS, the new name for ENGIE’s regeneration and service-led activities.
Speaking about the work, Louise, said: “I’m more than happy with my new kitchen, I can’t stop looking at it. The team consulted with me on the design of my kitchen, and I could choose from a selection of colours and units to make it work for me. The people who fitted it were great and the work they’ve done has really made a huge difference.”
Investment on more homes
A further 700 properties in North East Lincolnshire will benefit from the refurbishment. Residents eligible for the work will receive new bathrooms, kitchens and central heating systems, as well as new windows and doors to help keep their homes warmer.
Sean Corcoran, Regional Director at EQUANS, said: “We’re delighted to be working with LHP on this extensive improvement work, which is making a real difference to people’s homes and creating new spaces that they can enjoy. This is a significant milestone to reach on this project, and it’s great to see the impact it is having on residents.”
Danny Wyer, our Corporate Head of Assets said: “We are committed to investing in our customers’ homes to ensure they meet the Decent Homes Standard.
“We are in the process of reviewing our long-term programmes which will be shared with customers so that they have a clear guide as to when their homes will receive major improvements.”
